The evenings in Stockholm were spent visiting, checking up on our internet friends, having tea together and enjoying Gisela's beautiful home in Stockholm.
Gisela's son, Torkel came for dinner one evening and it was my turn to cook an American dinner, Yankee Pot Roast. The most difficult part was conversing with the butcher to find a cut of meat that would be similar to something we might use to make a pot roast. It all worked out well and we had a fine evening together.
Marie-Louise, Gisela's daughter, and her family live a short train ride away in a lovely suburb of Stockholm. We went there to attend
a play at Grandson William's school.
Gisela, Marie-Louise and Granddaughter, Martina are at the door to the school here.
William was a delightful Merlin the magician. The play was a musical with much singing and dancing. Every child in the class participated.
One of the songs was sung in English. I was delighted to hear that it was a song that my
grandfather had sung to me as a child and that there was a finger game that went with it. After the play we went to the cafeteria for coffee and cookies and the children were fascinated to know that I knew the song and they enjoyed learning the finger game that went with it.
